Latinia just announced the incorporation of the Catalan and Basque Governments, via CTTI (Centre de Telecomunicacions i Tecnologies de la Informació) and EJIE (Basque Government IT Company) in its government customer portfolio for messaging platforms.
This software company is thus adding these two important references to the Governments of Castilla-La Mancha (JCCM), Galicia, the Canary Islands (for its 112 emergency service) Aragon and the Guipuzkoa Provincial Council to its public sector portfolio. This consolidates it as a reference in supplying platform products in the SMS technology environment. “With these last two references, Latinia is strengthening its position in this level of administration in a clear indication of fitting our value proposal in with the mobility needs presented by this segment of the administration”, according to declarations by Francesc Perez, the software vendor’s business development manager.
“Government tends to increasingly require that a product, installed in one of its councillorships or departments, act as a service provider toward the rest of the bodies”, stated Perez. “A product that, along with guaranteeing maximum conditions of security and confidentiality, is capable of offering maximum possibilities in terms of service management and integration with its electronic administration”, concluded Perez.
According to the 4th edition of the Report called “The use of SMS Messaging in Public Administration” held by Latinia among more than 400 mobility projects and services in the Public Sector, Health and Environmental services are consolidated as the area with the greatest penetration of SMS services, playing a leading role in one out of every four services. They would be followed by a block defined as “Life in the city”, a group in which everything from emergency notifications to procedures or transportation would be included, with 4 out of every 10 cases analyzed. Farther in the background, we have another area with services with special success such as Education, though in this case, it is quite focused on notifications of child absences from class or information to students. Of special relevance, though quite seasonal, would be in the case of civil participation and elections, with informative notices in real time on election results, with a worthy 14%.
