Spanish company Latinia received the Award for the Best Mobile Innovation Solution in Madrid today awarded by Telefónica within the framework of the eighth Movilforum Fair (in Spain). The firm’s chief marketing officer, Oriol Ros, received the award today at an event celebrated at the fair’s closing by Francisco Ros Perán, Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Society.
In this annual meeting especially aimed at professionals, solution providers and the operator’s large accounts, the latest in mobile applications have been displayed: from security solutions, payment systems via mobile devices, localization devices or applications for Government. The fair closed its doors today after receiving almost 5,000 visitors in just a day and a half in an event marked by globalization, the operator informed us, with the participation of Movilforum Latinoamérica and Litmus O2.
The panel of judges, made up of members of Telefónica España has considered different criteria, among them the project’s degree of innovation, the complexity of product development, the execution time, the usability or difficulty to implement. According to Oriol Ros, Grupo Banco Popular astronomically reinforced its position against its competitors due to a product that enabled it to exploit mobile banking from its own resources, leaving the abstraction of all of the Operator’s network power in the hands of Latinia’s middleware product. This made it possible for the fourth Spanish Bank to focus its development resources on the services’ business logic and not on technology. The adaptation of the mobile channel to the bank and not the bank to the mobile channel was the objective. In two years, Grupo Banco Popular did the work of 5, concluded Ros.
This prestigious award has wanted to recognize the innovative effort that Latinia’s team has been making for years in developing and improving its products. This award is Telefónica’s recognition for its most participative and innovative companies whose solutions have been successfully implemented at Telefónica’s clients.
