Latinia
The year 2016 was marked by the incorporation of new emerging channels into our multichannel notification platform and by active participation in financial and technology industry events across Latin America.
This article highlights the main corporate milestones of Latinia throughout 2016, including the integration of new channels such as Facebook Messenger chatbots into our technology offering, our participation in international financial industry events, and various initiatives promoted by the company in areas such as innovation and sports.
Latinia incorporates Facebook Messenger chatbot notifications into its multichannel offering
Latinia incorporated notifications through Facebook Messenger into its LIMSP© platform, expanding the multichannel capabilities of our technology with one of the most widely used messaging environments in the market.
“It was only a matter of time before Facebook released its APIs, given the latest moves and signals toward the B2C market from other messaging platforms and tools,” explained Oriol Ros, Marketing Director at Latinia.
Ros also highlighted the attractiveness of this channel for financial institutions, both due to its large user base and the ease with which customers can subscribe to notifications within this environment.
The integration of Messenger allowed banks to expand their customer touchpoints and strengthen their presence in the digital spaces where users interact on a daily basis.
Latinia launches a training program for young sailors to compete in the J80 World Championship
Latinia launched the Latinia Youth Sailing Team project, an initiative developed together with Club Nàutic Cambrils aimed at training young sailors in preparation for their participation in the J80 World Championship held in Sotogrande.
The program brought together more than 20 young athletes who took part in training and preparation sessions led by pre-Olympic sailor Álex Muscat. Following the training process, the most prepared sailors were selected to compete in the championship.
“The values of sailing closely align with those of our software and the way we work: performance, precision, reliability, and teamwork,” said Alejandro Olabarría, Chairman of Latinia.
Latinia presents its latest multichannel notification innovations at CL@B
Latinia once again participated in the Congreso Latinoamericano de Innovación Tecnológica CL@B, one of the leading events in the financial sector in the region. In this edition, we presented our latest developments in multichannel notifications and shared our vision on the role of new digital channels in the relationship between banks and customers.
Daniel Aguilar, Head of Sales for Latin America at Latinia, highlighted the value of this type of event for engaging with financial institutions and showcasing advances in emerging channels such as social media.
During the congress, we also presented a new edition of our Latinia Intelligentia report, focused on the analysis of mobile financial services in leading banks across the region and the use of social media as a channel of interaction between financial institutions and their customers.
Latinia, a key player at FINNOSUMMIT Mexico
Latinia participated as a sponsor in a new edition of FINNOSUMMIT Mexico, one of the leading events in the fintech ecosystem in Latin America. The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and representatives from the financial sector to analyze the impact of technological innovation on financial services.
“Almost every type of financial activity is being reimagined by hundreds of startups, causing a certain shake up in an industry not used to change,” said Oriol Ros, Marketing Director at Latinia.
At Latinia, we highlighted that innovation emerging outside traditional financial institutions can help accelerate the evolution of the sector and create new opportunities for all stakeholders involved.
